Slow Food actively collaborated in organizing the 30th edition of the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, attending to the contents and creation of the "Gastronomic" area. Within this area there were individual stands for publishers, with reading material on food and gastronomy, a bookshop organised on the subject matter and a large area for meetings and workshops.
The set up was designed to promote the concept of sustainability advocated by Slow Food, and with the aim of diminishing the functional differences of the individual areas through the use of a common theme. Both the structures necessary for the subdivision of the spaces and the furnishings were made of rough wood with the minimum use of paint and adhesives.
